CINCINNATI, OH—Cincinnati-based Key Resin Company introduces Key Luster Metallic, a 100% solids epoxy resin with aliphatic amines and metallic pigment flooring system that provides a bright, decorative metallic appearance.  The new system, typically finished with a clear urethane or epoxy sealer is ideal for residential use, office complexes, lobbies, or light industrial applications.

Key Luster Metallic is available in a variety of color choices including bronze, copper, antique silver, or bright silver.  In a nutshell, it’s a beautiful flooring system that offers an easy-to-clean surface at an affordable price. 

This product offers several benefits including excellent clarity and color, low viscosity and fast-cure options.  Additionally, the flooring system has very little odor during application and cure, so it can be applied in occupied areas with very little inconvenience.

The product is typically applied as a three or four coat system.  After the initial primer, Key Luster Metallic is applied in two coats spreading with a flat trowel at 100-125 sq. ft. per gallon on each coat.  The second coat is sprayed lightly with a dispersing agent to distress the surface.  Finally, a seal coat of urethane or epoxy provides the protection from wear and abrasion.
