CINCINNATI, OH—Cincinnati-based Key Resin Company offers a variety of resinous flooring systems that combine highly decorative appearances with durability and low life cycle costs.  The two distinct offerings3⁄4Key Epoxy Terrazzo systems and Key Quartz systems3⁄4are seamless solutions ideal for schools, cafeterias and other high traffic areas.

Key Epoxy Terrazzo is a resinous flooring system that combines the highly decorative appearance of marble with durability, chemical resistance and ease of maintenance.  The system provides virtually unlimited freedom in color and layout design compared to the limitations of traditional terrazzo.  Bonded directly to the concrete slab, strip layout is only determined by the joints existing in the substrate and the creativity of the designer.

Key Epoxy Terrazzo is mixed with a wide selection of decorative aggregates and trowel applied to a 1/4” or 3/8” nominal thickness.  The product does not support bacterial growth and is also available in conductive and novolac formulations. 

The second product line, Key Quartz Systems, set the standard for decorative resinous flooring systems.  Used to protect the substrate from impact, abrasion, extreme traffic and chemical resistance, Key Quartz Systems are installed between 1/16” and 1⁄4” inch thickness.  Available systems include Key Quartz B-65, Key Quartz B-125, Key Quartz B-195 and Key Quartz T-250, each offering unique features based on needs.

Key Quartz Systems are composed of 100% solid, clear epoxy resin filled with a variety of graded quartz, marble, or ceramic fillers.  The fillers can be modified to create the best design mix for performance and appearance.  An integral cove base can be installed in areas requiring seamless wall to floor coatings.  A wide selection of gloss and satin finish coats are available for varying appearance and exposure requirements.
