KEY EPOCON Systems Now Provide Unlimited Moisture Vapor Control

November 1, 2012 - Key Resin Company now offers UNLIMITED Moisture Resistance Performance for KEY EPOCON systems, a proven solution since 2001 to control moisture vapor related failure in moisture sensitive flooring materials. KEY EPOCON Systems are designed using KEY EPOCOAT resin, a unique water-based epoxy technology that helps regulate moisture vapor transmission through the concrete substrates.

Problems associated with excess moisture in concrete slabs have plagued the flooring industry for many years. Typical problems associated with excess water vapor passing through concrete slabs include loss of adhesion, blister formations, warping, peeling, and efflorescence deposits. Key Resin’s KEY EPOCON Systems control vapor transmission rates which can contribute to these problems.

In addition to controlling moisture transmission rates, KEY EPOCON Systems offer several other key advantages including a high impact resistance without fracturing, an excellent ultra-violet stability and the product bonds well to cool, damp substrates.
